Walther PPK/S .22LR in black is a cool plinker. I think the "S" in the model name just means it has the grip extension on the magazine baseplate, which fits my rather large mitts well, and I’m 6ft 5in. This .22LR model seems to be an exact replica of the original 1931 .32 and later .380 ACP.

Pistol comes with a Walther-branded plastic lockable case, two extra front sights, a sight tool, and a barrel wrench. The barrel also appears to be threaded for a silencer. The gun shoots and cycles Federal 36g fairly accurately for having such a short barrel. Takedown/reassembly is easy enough.

The only con was the thumb safety switch—it’s unbelievably stiff and almost impossible to manipulate, which seems to be typical of all these models, I guess. Hopefully, it will loosen up eventually. The D/A trigger pull is pretty stiff in itself, and S/A is about what you’d expect from a rimfire pistol.

Overall, great value and a must-buy at the discounted sale price imo. Happy trails!  The firearm I received did appear to have been dry-fired, with firing pin marks on the breech of the barrel, yet it was otherwise brand new and functions flawlessly.
