(3 out of 5) I have NOT even shot it yet!
by from Columbus, OH on

I just got my Walther PK380. I ordered it from online, not from Vance's. I should have at least looked at it in the store. Maybe then, I would have realized it was NOT the gun I was looking for. When the safety manual says to wear eye protection when tearing down & re-assembling the gun, they MEAN it! Trying to get the slide guide and spring back into the slide is a ROYAL "you know what I mean"!. I don't think the magazine release is user-friendly, even though it can be used from either side. I have other questions, perhaps I should ask from either Walther customer service or one of the several firearm experts at Vance's.

Ok, I've since shot the gun. It was truly a pleasure to shoot. The magazines were easy to load, even to capacity, unlike some of the squattier compact semi-autos like my S&W M&P 40C. There is less recoil on my PK380 than my Charter Arms .38 special off duty with a two inch barrel. After watching a couple of YouTube videos from the Walther.com website, I now have a much easier time re-assembling the pistol. I'm sure any one of the fine folks at Vance's would be more than happy to show me how to make sight adjustments. Don't judge me until you look at the gun. I like the gun enough to buy two more boxes of ammo.

We got this for my wife, She didn't like to carry her Glock for multiple reasons. She loves this .380 and actually carries and practices by herself now. We have had no problems with reliability. Light weight, no re coil and easy to handle with a safety make this a winner for us.
