Product Description

As early as the Case Brothers began making knives in upstate New York during the late 19th century, they were also methodically scrawling symbolic designs into their blades. These unique markings became known as "tang stamps". Collectively, the engraved marks found on this series' center bolsters document a timeline of tang stamp designs that span 100 years of knives bearing the Case name.

Knife Pattern

  • Trapper: The Trapper, a favorite pattern of many Case knife collectors, has been produced since the 1920's. This popular knife gets its name from the consumer it was designed for. Because of its basic trapping and skinning blades and its light weight, it is a must-have knife for those who trap small game. It is a jack knife with two full length blades; a slender clip and a long spey. The clip blade is appreciated for its versatility and use for multi-purpose tasks. The spey blade has a specially curved tip making it a common all purpose utility blade. Standard trappers avearage to be about four inches long and are available in a wide spectrum of handle colors, handle materials and designs. The unique Shepherd Hills Exclusive Cigar Band models offer a distinctive look second to none.
