(1 out of 5) The scope is junk!
by from Redkey, IN on

On 10/21/2022 I purchased a Savage Axis II HB Veil Whitetail Camo 350 Legend Rifle for hunting this fall. Per the description on the website, the Rifle came with a “Bushnell 4-12x40mm Riflescope, that was mounted & bore sighted”. This morning, I took it to the gun range to sight it in, assisted by a firearms expert. We could not hit a target at 25 yards. It was definitely not bore sighted. After going through many rounds, wasting amo, it was suggested to bring the rifle to gun shope to have the sight remounted. The gun store owner said to throw that scope in the garbage. The scope is the cheapest that Bushnell makes, and is impossible to maintain accuracy/ consistency. Its just there to make the combination appear to be a good deal. In addition, the scope was poorly mounted, the brackets were unevenly tightened and not properly torqued. After spending $525 dollars to get this Rifle, I spent another $300 dollars today for a Vortex scope, and to have it properly mounted and bore sighted. I’m very disappointed in my purchase.
