The Ruger M77 Gunsite Scout Rifle was named the winner of the 2011 Rifle of the Year Award by the Shooting Industry Academy of Excellence. The M77 Gunsite Scout includes a flash suppressor, picatinny rail for mounting optics, a 10-round detachable box magazine, patented integral scope mounts, and a Mauser-type extractor.

Other features include a rugged, one-piece, stainless steel bolt; three-position safety; studs for mounting sling swivels; medium contour cold hammer-forged barrel; glass reinforced nylon trigger guard and magazine well.

This Gunsite Scout Rifle features a threaded barrel, as well as the Gunsite logo engraved on the grip and name rollmarked on the receiver.
