Product Description

The Buck 119 Special has been a classic pattern of the Buck Knives line for over 50 years. Hoyt and Al Buck used to build them by hand in their two-man shop. Today, this larger hunting knife with a large 6.0" clip blade is perfect for detail work, piercing and cutting in tight places for added control, and is as popular as ever. The Cocobolo DymaLux® handle sports a polished brass pommel and guard. Each Buck 119 Special includes a rugged brown leather belt sheath.

This is Buck's standard blade material because it approaches the wear resistance of high carbon alloys while delivering the corrosion resistance of chromium stainless steels. Using their exclusive heat-treat process and you have a very user-friendly combination of superior corrosion resistance with excellent strength for wear resistance and durability. You also have a blade that is easy to resharpen. For best performance Buck hardens their 420HC blades to a Rockwell hardness of Rc 58.
