The most notable is their proprietary Xtended Twilight Lens System, which employs index-matched lens coatings that were specifically engineered for the calcium-fluoride lens glass to raise the already high transmittance across the entire visible spectrum — with special emphasis on the blue and violet wavelengths that are most prevalent in low-light, such as at dawn and dusk and under heavily-canopied forests. Complementing the Xtended Twilight Lens System are phase-corrected BAK4 roof prisms and over-sized 50mm objectives, which translate to high-contrast views that are bright and crisp even in low-light. The powerful 12x magnification, wide-angle field of view, long eye relief, and wide exit pupil produce a panoramic and immersive visual experience with the ability to resolve details of distant targets that lower-power optics are unable to achieve. For some users, the high magnification and large front objectives may cause fatigue while holding the binocular steady for long periods. For this reason, it is recommended that a support system like a mono or tripod be employed for extended viewing session using an optional 1/4"-20 adapter, available separately.
