The .22 rimfire handgun will never look the same. The P22 changed everything. Walther adapted the tactical styling and Performance Design concepts from our centerfire handguns and applied them to the .22 L.R. This created a new movement in the design of contemporary rimfire handguns … and an explosion of imitators. As a stylish, fun gun to own, the P22 is at home on the shooting range, around the camp or in a museum of modern art.
No issues with ammo. Guide rod spring is captive and much easier to service and field strip for cleaning.
Couldn’t pass up the price with the free safe. This piece is clean and loud, fits great in my hand, and is always ready in a backpack. The safety will still allow the hammer to move, even with double action, but it won’t fire if the safety is on. This was a little concerning but as soon as it went to the range the answer was clear. I’ll probably buy another one in the future.
I've had this P22Q for about a year. Bought it due to the excellent fit and the controls are like full size pistol. Except for the mag release, which is OK once you figure it out. I wanted to use as an intro handgun for my wife. But after 50-70 rounds through it, I've had fail to eject, fail to load, stovepipes, etc. Used 3-4 types of ammo, with mixed results. I put it aside from frustration. Have researched this and there are mixed opinions on this firearm. I'm not giving up yet, some say CCI ammo is a good choice. I want to give it a chance before contacting Walther. So just be aware.
