As much as I wanted to I cannot recommend this pistol. I am waiting for it to return from its SECOND trip to Smith&Wesson in a month. I was unable to get to the range for 3 weeks after the initial purchase. When I did it was great, everything I expected and hoped for.... for the first 2-1/2 mags. It then turned into a single shot and sometimes a double-tap pistol. I would fire a round then Id have to cycle the thumb safety to fire the next. Every several rounds it would fire TWO. First trip back to S&W they replaced the extractor and polished barrel and ramp WHY. I test-fired the gun at the range and the issue was NOT fixed. I had 2 guys at the range try it they had the same issue. Both were stumped as to the cause but suspected a sear issue. I returned it to S&W and expect it back soon. They say the trigger was replaced and the gun tested ok. This is not my first S&W pistol I own 2 others. I am frustrated and disappointed. At this point, I do not feel confident in the pistol, especially since this is somewhat similar to the .380 EZ recall. I cannot say I will purchase another Smith again. I put much more confidence in my Kel-Tec PF9.

I've had this gun for a year now. Shoot it frequently. I love this gun!! Never had an issue with it. My favorite pistol by far.
