Prerequisite: Full Series Weapon Craft Wednesday Rifle
Weapon Craft Wednesday Rifle 2.0 Series is a continuation of the WCW Rifle series with emphasis on furthering the skills learned by the shooter. While the original series’ main focus is on building good fundamentals, Rifle 2.0 will take several fundamentals and have shooters work on them at the same time, thus building an advanced shooter.
While it is not a requirement to take all sessions consecutively, it is highly recommended to take the series in sequence.
The price for each session is $25. Students will need reliable rifle platform in a caliber sufficient for personal defense, spare magazines (we recommend at least 3), magazine carrier, rifle sling, sturdy belt, eye and ear protection, and 100 rounds of ammunition per session. AR pistols are allowed in class, but must have a third point of contact, such as a blade or brace, and must conform to all current ATF regulations.
Week One: Transitions
Many shooters carry a secondary firearm (pistol) in addition to carrying their rifle. This session introduces how to transition to the pistol from the rifle and back again.
Week Two: Off hand and barricades
It is possible to be in a situation where a shooter may need to use the non-dominant side, like when working around barricades or doorways.
Week Three: Target Identification
One of the four rules of firearm safety is to know your target and what is beyond. Target Identification will show you how to identify a threat while under stressful conditions.
